Player Sponsored Races
:(Updated 9/25/2000)
If you would like to help the game out (or, you just want your name in lights =), you can do so by sponsoring races. Player sponsored races cannot be an advertisement for something; if you want to us this as a way to advertise your business, go to the Advertising link from the main login screen.
To contact me about sponsoreing races, drop me an e-mail at
kingab@simulatedsports.com after reading the options below.Below are some of the different types of races you can sponsor and their prices:
Simple Sponsored Race :
Price : $10 / Race
Allows you to set the restrictions, name the race, and decide the week and track to run it at. The allowable purse must be $75,000 sim or less. You can select it to be any type of race except a graded stakes race (though it can be carded as a regular stakes race). It also includes a click-through to the donations page or, if you have a web-site, a click through to your site. If you forward me a 120 x 30 through a 180 x 30 pixel banner, I will use it in place of the race name.
You can increase the purse to $150,000 and make the race a Grade 3 race for $5 more ($15 overall), increase the purse to $250,000 and make it a Grade 2 race for $10 more ($20 overall), or increase the purse to $500,000 and make it a Grade 1 for $15 more ($25 overall).
Owner Restricted Race :
Price : $15 / Race
Exactly like the race listed above, except that it allows you to limit the users that can enter it and the allowable purse must be $50,000 or less and cannot be a stakes of any kind. After you purchase one of these races and I add them to the upcoming races, you must go to the My Sponsor link from the Races link to get the password for signing up. Normally, if you wanted to sign up for a race, you would simply enter the race ID. For Owner restricted races, you must enter the password in parenthesis as well with no spaces.
For example : You sponsored race 795.3701 to be an owner restricted race. You go to the My Sponsor link after it has been added to the upcoming races and, instead of saying you sponsored race 795.3701, it says you sponsored race 795.3701(673455). When you (or anyone else) signs up for the race, you must sign up for race 795.3701(673455) Anyone simply signing up for race 795.3701 will have their entry rejected!
You can give this race ID out to anyone, but you are the only one that originally knows it or can retrieve it from the web-site. Be very careful as to whom you give this code to. I will not remove entries by hand. Also make sure they understand how to sign up for these races, as I will not add horses after the races have been carded. If the race draws less than 4 horses, computer horses will round out the field.
If you want to allow entries only to particular horses or from particular stables, you can request these passwords instead of giving out the master password. For a full explanation, please visit this link :

You can increase the purse to $75,000 and make the race a stakes race for $5 more ($20 overall). These races cannot be carded as graded stakes races, but you can continue to increase the purse. You can increase the purse to $125,000 for $10 more ($25 overall), or increase the purse to $250,000 for $15 more ($30 overall).
